After breaking my most favorite-ever bike
(with little hope of repair),
I went shopping for a replacement...

OregonState University sells off surplus stuff every Wednesday. Computers, filing cabinets and left-behind biclycles.

I found a frame that might allow me to transfer most of the components from the dead Cannondale, but in order to get this frame I had to bid on a 'lot' of 18 bikes. Mostly Huffy's and other junk. I bid $31.50 and I was the winner!

Inspired by the electric moped I rode in Seattle (click), I thought flipping the riser bars upside down would give me a cool 'clip-ons' look and still be a comfy ride.

Here it is : - )

Electric tape helps me make a little joke.

the Motiv brand is sold at Costco and not well respected, but for my purposes - it's just fine.

These tires are Vredestein S-licks from Holland and no longer made. Dang. I love them.

This steel frame weighs a lot more than the aluminum Cannondale it replaces, but rides nice, and as Carlos Silva once said: it is 'More pretty for me'
